Im so used to rural drs… I'm very happy with my care at renown. I couldnt just point out one situation with Michael. Its everything. The care is top. The knowlege is top. Michael explains anything i dont understand, shows me pictures/diagrams, answers every question. im used to asking questions and not getting answers.. not knowing what to ask.. being in the dark… where, michael just knows. im comfortable with michael and my heart care. I trust what he says, because he allows me to make an informed decision. He comes across as genuinely caring…. I guess what im saying is, its everything. Im not used to good medical care anymore. Im willing to travel 100 miles each way to see michael. He makes himself available thru mychart.. i look forward to going to my appointments instead of dreading them. side note: everyone one ive dealt with from renown since [ ]? Has treated me well. Drs, nurses, front desk, MA's, i switched everything to renown. Im a complainer.. and i have none. thanks

I had felt very frustrated with my care and was fairly convinced the problem was either going to resolve without knowing what was going on, or eventually it was potentially going to have a negative outcome. I felt scared and unheard. Michael is very good at listening and hearing what is being said. He doesn’t dismiss concerns and seems to genuinely want to figure this out. I understand that there are confounding factors, but this didn’t seem to deter him from taking a position that a more serious approach was warranted. I am hopeful nothing serious is going on, and grateful that he is being careful not to blame what has been the historical scapegoat.

Michael Thompson is very thorough, goes over everything really well and made notes in MyChart when I asked him to so I could refer back later. He’s very kind and patient and doesn’t make me feel rushed.

Dr Thompson was phenomenal. I’ve never had prescriptions and/or procedures explained so specifically. He was wonderful! I left his office confident that I was definitely in good hands!

Mike's attitude and knowledge are outstanding. His nurse Kim, is an outstanding asset also. If needed, Mike will always get me in to see him in a timely manner. I'm very pleased with the attention and care I get from him and his team.
