He was great

Dr. Fu explained to me that it was a calcium deposit that was causing my pain. He asked if I wanted to treat that . I said yes, but can it be done today ? He contacted Dr. [last name] who saw me immediately after I left Dr. Fu's office. Dr. [last name] performed a procedure to remove the calcium buildup on my shoulder that was causing the pain. Two days later, I was no longer in pain. What an amazing team of doctors. I initially saw an Orthopedic shoulder surgeon from another hospital, who's only solution was to prescribe physical therapy for me, which I won't receive until August 21st, because they're very busy. Thank you HSS once again.

I'm disappointed that Dr.Fu has stopped taking Medicare because I have friends and colleagues who will not be able to benefit from his skilled care.

I was told the facts of my condition and felt no pressure to take the further step until I was ready. When I was ready to meet a second time all my questions were answered and reservations and fears were alleviated because of Dr. Fu’s ease of demeanor and confidence.

Scheduling, Pre-operative care, the hospital experience, and post-operative care were excellent. Being able to stay at the HSS Guest suites the night before significantly reduced stress.

Each interaction I had with Dr. Fu was positive and instilled the utmost confidence that my total shoulder replacement would go well. I feel that tenfold after surgery. I have very little discomfort and feel that once I get a few more PT sessions in, I'll be on my way to full recovery.

Dr. Fu was prompt and communicated with me very clearly. He didn't try to sell me on a surgery the way many orthopedic doctors outside of HSS do.

HSS is great. Dr Fu is great. All the doctors and staff that have taken care of me are awesome. Dr Fu's staff are awesome. What a great place. I wish all healthcare facilities and staff were as wonderful as you. Thank you for taking care of me!

Dr Fu is incredibly compassionate, respectful, and truly cares about the outcome of one's surgery. He sits back and listens so that one feels heard and validated. He has always answered any questions/concerns, not only when seeing one in person, but also through the portal. If all surgeons were like him, more would feel secure in their choice to trust and to move forward with surgery knowing one is in the very best care. Dr Fu has supported my healing every step of the way by giving me the follow-up care I've needed. He is the very best! HSS certainly made a terrific decision in having him on your team.

Dr. Fu was outstanding in reviewing my condition and communicating his thoughts and knowledge so that I could clearly understand his assessment. More importantly, he directed me away from the idea that surgery would resolve my issue and recommended non-surgical remedies.

Dr. Fu is a gem. He is extremely knowledgeable, skilled, kind, compassionate, and accommodating. He thoroughly explains the diagnosis, the surgical procedure, and the post-op requirements for a successful recovery. He always asks if the patient understands and if the patient has any questions or concerns.

Your staff got through the check in process and into my appointment quickly. Though the office was busy I never felt rushed. Dr. Fu spent enough time with me to address all my concerns and make me comfortable with the process

One of Dr. Fu's administrative assistant (do not know her name; has a perhaps slight Eastern European accent) deserves extra recognition. Her professional demeanor and genuine care shines through every interaction. She is an excellent professional!
