Dr. Pike is the most effective doctor my sons, between them, to include various specialists and general pediatricians, have ever had. She listens: she interacts with them directly in a way that is empathetic and relatable. She usually starts their appointments with, “So how are things going? How is school? How are your sports? How are things feeling?” I love this. She also provides exceptional care and service to us as a family and with me as a parent: discussing general updates, fielding concerns and questions, and getting the information needed to complete forms for school, sports and other health-related services quickly. She is also one of the few people who has an instinct for working with ..., a special needs patient, in the best way: she is somehow able to acknowledge his agency while, simultaneously, maintaining the patience and concern he needs.
