I have multiple kids so we go to this clinic fairly often. It is unfortunate that at the end of every appointment we don’t feel we got much out of them. Not sure it’s the fault of the Dr but we don’t feel we get the direct care needed. Very short time with the Dr is hard to explain and we certainly don’t feel we are given the time that they care.

Dr. Megan Mahaffey is always so kind and remembers details about my child in a way that makes us feel very cared for. Yesterday's visit she was running a bit behind schedule, which I know means she was likely having a challenging day or other families/children were. Despite this, she came into the exam room and immediately acknowledged being a bit behind schedule which I appreciated so much. She was then incredibly present with us and incredibly engaging with my daughter. Keep doing what you are doing Dr. Mahaffey we so appreciate you!

We love Dr. Mahaffey! She is always very friendly, and we never feel rushed with her. She is incredibly respectful with our child's boundaries, and she is always willing to push certain checks if our children are resistant.

Dr. Mahaffey is the best. She has been my son's doctor for 17 years. She is caring, thoughtful, listens and offers great advice and insight. I am so thankful that she has remained at SSM and we have been able to have her be my children's pediatrician for all these years. I can't recommend her enough!

Dr. Mahaffey doesn't talk down to her patient. She gave my child age-appropriate agency over their own body and made sure she had consent and understanding from them before performing any of the physical exam. Seeing this is very reassuring to me as a parent.

She's great, especially as a trans kid, she understood and helped me even when me and parents weren’t on the same page. She always tries to get my name and pronouns right, more so than most people in my life, and she’s known me for longer than them!
