I’m very impressed with the quality of service and care. I was initially getting treated at NYU Langone and was having difficulty with responsiveness, treating my situation with urgency and simplifying insurance situations. HSS excelled at all of that. Also, Dr. Roberts is so much nicer and respectful than how I was treated at NYU Langone.

I had big hopes that Dr. Roberts would be able to help me. Although, Dr. Roberts ordered additional test, I can't help but feel like he does not really want to commit to treating someone (me) who had a foot surgery done by another doctor. I hope I am wrong and he can help me to address the symptoms

This is my second surgery with Dr. Roberts. I am confident that this surgery will improve my quality of life. I have one more surgery planned with Dr. Roberts in the future. I have recommended friends and family to Dr Roberts and HSS.

I felt that my experience with Dr. Roberts was excellent. He was highly professional and communicative. I am grateful for it because my previous experience with a doctor at HSS was the opposite. He was rarely made eye contact, was 15-25 minutes late with telehealth appointments and I had to remind him of my information more than once.

After seeing another surgeon, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Matthew Roberts at HSS based on his reputation and he did not disappoint. Dr. Roberts took the time to explain and demonstrate in great detail the root of my symptoms and how taking a different and less invasive approach to the surgery (that was recommended by the other Doctor) would allow me to get past my PTTD / Flat Foot since I have runaway ahead of me in life. I had greatly researched different procedures ahead of time and because of this I found Dr. Roberts to be very honest as we openly discussed options. Most importantly, I was impressed that he took the time to make me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions. I have read some online reviews where some people have said the opposite. I now know that these are false and misleading. My surgery is scheduled and my wife and myself know that we are and will be in the best of care, now, during and after.

Dr. Roberts was awesome! He reviewed my MRI and X-rays, and spoke to me at length regarding my condition. He began to formulate a plan, but wanted a more specific diagnostic test before making a final determination. I left my appointment feeling very confident in Dr. Roberts' ability to right this old ship.

The entire team was a well-oiled machine. Everybody was so nice from the moment I walked in the door to the moment they put me in the Uber to go home. Everybody chatted with me, made sure I felt comfortable. Truly a wonderful experience all around and I want to thank everybody for their kindness. I’m very taken away by all of this.

Dr. Roberts is the only doctor or health professional who has ever taken the time learn how to pronounce my first name before meeting with me. And he is the only doctor to address me by my first name.
