After seeing another surgeon, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Matthew Roberts at HSS based on his reputation and he did not disappoint. Dr. Roberts took the time to explain and demonstrate in great detail the root of my symptoms and how taking a different and less invasive approach to the surgery (that was recommended by the other Doctor) would allow me to get past my PTTD / Flat Foot since I have runaway ahead of me in life. I had greatly researched different procedures ahead of time and because of this I found Dr. Roberts to be very honest as we openly discussed options. Most importantly, I was impressed that he took the time to make me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions. I have read some online reviews where some people have said the opposite. I now know that these are false and misleading. My surgery is scheduled and my wife and myself know that we are and will be in the best of care, now, during and after.

Dr. Roberts was awesome! He reviewed my MRI and X-rays, and spoke to me at length regarding my condition. He began to formulate a plan, but wanted a more specific diagnostic test before making a final determination. I left my appointment feeling very confident in Dr. Roberts' ability to right this old ship.

Dr. Roberts was very thorough and confident in my interaction pre-op. That put me at ease. It was clear the rest of the staff had a great deal of confidence and respect for his skill.

The entire team was a well-oiled machine. Everybody was so nice from the moment I walked in the door to the moment they put me in the Uber to go home. Everybody chatted with me, made sure I felt comfortable. Truly a wonderful experience all around and I want to thank everybody for their kindness. I’m very taken away by all of this.

Dr. Roberts is the only doctor or health professional who has ever taken the time learn how to pronounce my first name before meeting with me. And he is the only doctor to address me by my first name.

The whole experience was amazing. I’m so grateful for Dr. Roberts. He saw me at such late notice and scheduled surgery right away. Everything from initial consultation to post surgery follow up was done professionally and with a lot of care and consideration. I can’t thank Dr. Roberts and the team at HSS enough.

Dr Roberts was amazing from my initial consult to my follow up visit post surgery. He is smart, kind and thorough. I was very lucky to have him as my surgeon. I never experienced any pain post surgery and my ankle and achilles are better than ever. Many thanks to wonderful Dr Roberts.

Dr. Roberts was extremely cool, he explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. He reccomended a treatment plan ruling out surgery, and as of today, it is working, slowly but surely. Thanks Dr. Roberts
