The first time I came to his clinic I had never meet him, I did see a picture of him. And on my 1st day I had sat in waiting area and seen him come out of a door walk up to an elderly woman and knelt down next to and spoke to her, just from seeing how kind and caring he was to the elderly woman who sit on the chair as he spoke to her I can see he is a very caring person and Doctor.

Don’t lose this doctor! I have lost my G.I. doctor, my cardiologist, my dermatologist and most recently, my endocrinologist. Each time I’ve been given ridiculous long wait times for new doctors. So I went elsewhere for a cardiologist and I will continue to do that if need be.Dr. Harkenrider is very valuable member of my health team at Loyola.

As always, Dr. Harkenrider was respectful, cordial and thorough in explaining test results and during the exam. He answered questions and explained further treatment plans.

He does an excellent job explaining things. I do like when a doctor will give me his own opinion although it seems the current way with the younger doctors is to just explain and let you decide.
