I gave this rating because of Dr McFarland; she is a perfect example of what a doctor is supposed to be like. She spends the right amount of time with her patients to understand what they are dealing with before rendering her services and when done she makes sure the patient understands her diagnosis and what they should do to improve. She's a wonderful doctor and a great asset to SSM.

With her knowledge, she immediately made me comfortable. I have a plan to follow up and I also know how to shop for shoes and what I’m looking for. This was one of the best doctors visit I’ve had in a very long time.

I had to get a Cortisone Shot. In my foot. I stated to her that I didn’t like needles. As, she was giving me the shot she distracted me by asking me questions that wasn’t related to my visit. This eased my anxiety.

Dr McFarland was the most patient doctor I've seen in many years (I'm a senior and I see quite a few doctors). She thoroughly checked my history first, then took all the time needed to explain my condition and the options for treatment. She is absolutely the best.

She has been and always will be my podiatrist! She's the top in her field and she would be fabulous as a all around MD but I wouldn't want her to sit through more medical school to get the degree necessary! I'll keep being grateful for her skills and expertise in diabetic foot care and maintaining my ability to stay on my own two feet and out of a wheelchair.
