She listened to my concerns and then recommended that surgery was necessary. When I first met with her we were both in agreement that the non invasive way was how we would treat my glaucoma. But with my vision becoming cloudy she recommended the surgery

Dr. Margaret Powell seems very knowledgeable, experienced in her specialty of ophthalmology and treats her patients with respect and caring by listening and explaining the patient's medical situation and options for treatment as well as why she recommends a particular treatment as a first option with alternates later, if needed. Her follow up exams were again thorough with explanation of the progress of the treatment and a sense of joy and accomplishment for the patient's healing and wellbeing. Dr. Powell shows her commitment, expertise and caring in her work as a physician.

Prompt and professional. She introduced herself before she started the exam and used hand sanitizer before beginning the exam.

Dr. Powell was just fine! It was the nurse that seemed very inexperienced, and not extremely friendly.

When she greeted me she didnt look at me

I liked her and I believe she is very knowledgeable but I felt like she was irritated from the time she walked in. Maybe she was having a bad day so I don't want to make a big deal about it. Or maybe that's her personality?

On my first visit and examination Dr Powell was honest about the situation of my eyes and explained options for treatment and likely outcomes. I felt confident I felt confident in her knowledge and experience in the area of glaucoma and its treatment. She was decisive about the treatment to be followed and determine the progress in 5 weeks. I did and the results were very encouraging. I am grateful for this.

The wait time between the inital tech assessment and the actual visit with Dr. Powell is excessive. I waited in the exam room 40 minutes. This is not a one time occurrence. It is the norm
