Dr. Silver has a fantastic approach and delivery to his patients to make sure they are well informed and knowledgable as to what to expect if surgery is necessary. He has great patience and a very caring attentiveness to a patients needs and concerns. 5 plus stars

To give context, I am the worst patient a doctor could have. When I found out I needed heart surgery, I was in shock. As I left Dr. Silvers office I couldn't think of a single question to ask nor was I prepared to answer yes or no on surgery. 2 days later I called him back and asked for an immediate appointment. This guy, with a waiting room full of people did not rush me and allowed me to ask every single question under the sun. I was scared and he knew it and with out any pressure allowed me to make an informed decision on what to do next. I saw several things in this doctor that I rarely see in the medical field. One, that mechanical mindset in treating the heart. Two, combined with the human compassion needed to treat the person as well as the problem. Three, the patients to deal with the patient. Finally, a respectable skill set to make me feel comfortable enough to put my life in his hands. Without offending anyone's ego, Dr. Marc Silver is a top 5 surgeon in the state of Michigan and I consider myself blessed to have gotten him at the lowest/scariest point in my life. Thank you Dr. Silver, Thank You!

Thank you again to the entire staff involved with saving my life. On thing I would suggest is to give patients the opportunity to talk with someone who has gone through the surgery they are about to go through.

I thought his office staff was great, but didn't realize until after surgery that the team extends well beyond the office. Was visited by other doctors on his team after surgery and it was comforting to be evaluated by them as Dr Silver cannot be everywhere all the time !
