Everyone that was involved in my prep before and during my surgery was so nice, professional and comforting to me. All my Doctors and Nurses treated me so respectfully and tried so hard to do a good job. I will always recommend UAB to everyone.

I was told when the appointment was set that I was going to have a sonogram, mammogram and biopsy. I arrive, I am sent to imaging and after waiting and no one taking me to any imaging, the doctor does a breast exam. I am told I must come back because they are short handed. I am also told they never set the other appointments. They did not even do blood work. After waiting 8 weeks to get an appointment now I am waiting 2 and 1/2 more. I am very frustrated. They call and set me an appointment only to drop the ball.

The team there was phenomenal. From the front desk receptionist, nursing staff, to the care provider. Each person I encountered was exceptionally pleasant. My appointment was timely, and the provider provided essential information to ensure that I understood what might be going on. Great visit.

There's a 3 months waiting period to be seen for a diagnosis mammogram..that is unacceptable... When you have a lump.. in your breast ..

I have been very pleased with my treatment over the past two decades. I recently found a lump and was very impressed with how rapidly and thoroughly I was worked in for evaluation. I am very grateful and very pleased with the service provided by the breast health clinic.

Arrived for my 11:00 appointment with Nurse Practitcner L. Jones. My son and I waited in the examination room for almost an hour and half before she arrived. I had to go out in hallway and asked a worker who said she did not work in this area to find out why the delay only to learn when Ms. Jones arrived she related my paperwork had been misplaced under others papers on her desk. She examined my breast but failed to inform me that my surgery time had changed.

I am 84 years old, a member of the older generation. I was not happy with the way that I was informed that I had breast cancer. I received a call about 831 morning with a person on the other end saying to me, the biopsy results are in and you have invasive breast cancer. Who do you want for your surgeon? This was such a shock that I could hardly believe I was hearing it. I have talked to other members of my generation who all agree with me that that was not a good way to inform a patient that she has cancer. I was also frustrated by the lack of information that was given to me and what I thought was a timely fashion.
