Laura is very knowledgeable, professional and personable. She takes time to ask questions, listen and explain necessary information. Everyone staff person we encountered was friendly and efficient. From my observations, it is evident that the Gastroenterology staff is overwhelmed due to lack of staff (especially doctors) and needs of community. I was due for routine colonoscopy last year. My regular Dr. put in request for this test (I am a return patient). The Gastro office contacted me in July 2025. Earliest appointment they could give me was for today, March 11, 2026.

The wait was very long and they are having staffing issues. I am in need of a prescription refill that my insurance needs and there seem to be a issue with them getting together to provide the required information.

She is wonderful. The scheduling mechanism currently used by Phoebe is not satisfactory. I much prefer to speak directly with Albany Gastro staff. They would have listened, consulted with my provider, and gotten me in for a consultation much sooner. As it was, the wait was over a month.

She was very polite, professional, and was very knowledgeable with what I was seeing her about. She was extremely concerned about my health history and with my current issues. She had concerns with things she noticed and felt it was necessary for me to be seen by other specialists before moving forward the procedure I was visiting her for. This was very impressive to me because it showed she was concerned with the patients body as a whole and not just the part she deals with specifically. During our conversation she allowed me to ask questions about all the concerns I had and she made sure I not only heard her answers along with understanding her answers. She is one of the finest physicians I've seen in all my 56 years or as long as I can recall. She was a pleasure to meet, talk with and I have complete confidence in her abilities as a physician and I look forward to seeing her again.

The staff members were very nice and friendly. They explained, in details, what they were going to do. During the almost two ands half hour test, they checked on me and made sure I was comfortable and okay. I had to bring my 87 year old mother, who has dementia, with me because her sitter had an emergency and could not sit with my mom. The staff in this department went above and beyond the call of duty and allowed my mom to come in the room with me. They made sure that my mom was comfortable and ok while I was testing. I can never thank them enough!
