Dr. Kuo took the time to explain in detail why I was having issues and what could be done to alleviate the problem. I followed the recommendations she gave and the final result was a successful operation to restore normal function. I am very grateful for what she did for me and highly recommend her.

Dr. Kuo is knowledgeable, courteous, gracious and respectful. She listened carefully and understook my position. My only concern was that she was talking about some pretty invasive and significant procedures (catheterizing the rest of my life and/or surgical procedures) that I thought could have been introduced more in context. (Dr. Kuo knows the consequences of my urinary retention but until two minutes before she walked into the room, I didn't even know I had a problem. I think I would have understood this better had she taken that part of the process more deliberately so I could think about what she was telling me. Instead I responded with what occurred to me – that I prefer to hold off on any invasive procedures until I have symptoms. Dr. Kuo understood and respected what I was saying and responded appropriately by suggesting a non-invasive procedure to get the process started. Overall, an excellent experience that would have been enhanced by a more measured introduction to help me accept the scope of my medical issues.

Considering that the appointment was for stent removal, a necessary but unpleasant procedure, everything went as well as could be expected. My side and back have been tender for the last few days but the pain/discomfort seem to be easing off today.

Avery courteous and knowledgeable doctor. She did not keep me waiting. She gave me very good advice and explained everything so it was easy to understand. Did not seem interested in what I had to say, just in a hurry to get her 10 minutes with me and leave. Ordered more tests and I still have no clue what is wrong with me.
