I often am frustrated with the amount of time that is spent to address my concerns, as well as my questions are not answered in a manner that makes me comfortable as a concerned parent. This visit was completely different. The staff took their time and ensured that both [Patient Name] and myself was comfortable with the next steps. Also circled around to ensure that I have no further questions.

I was very reassured by this visit. Our pediatrician harped on about my son's weight and implied he would die early and have terrible health issues. But the doctor, the nutritionist and the exercise physiologist were not alarmed at all. They were positive, affirming and did not think my son had any acute health issues. They spoke to both of us in friendly child appropriate ways and made me feel like a team member instead of a shamed parent who was messing up her kid. We made goals, that [Patient Name] can handle, and the doctor straight out said we will not focus or worry about weight, we are going to make goals about nutrition and movement. It was much much better than we anticipated. Dr. Stackpole was so kind. The nutritionist and physiologist as well were great. Also I want to recognize the third year med student who sat in, a very tall male, who was so kind and respectful and talked with [Patient Name] about sports.
