Much time to explain to new patient options and scans. Very comfortable with conservative approach. Answered all questions thoroughly.

Dr K and Dr [ ] both listened to me when I had some concerns after a 3 day hospital stay for a possible heart attack. After getting my injection for my lumbar that following Thursday I quizzed about if my spine could be the issue. Dr Grott had an MRI ordered for the following Monday and by Tuesday they called to get me in for an appointment on Wednesday to meet with Dr K.
Dr K explained all my options and answered all questions as I needed to have surgery. He gave me several weeks so I could do my research and had me come back in to discuss any other questions about the surgery.
Surgery completed now with excellent results. Again one on one before and after for questions with no rush.
I still have some other issues with my spine and they have been working with me on doing everything that I can do myself to possible eliminate another surgery. If it comes down to it and I need another surgery, I would definitely use Dr K.

The neurosurgeons that previously had privileges at Franciscan were usually rude, condescending and had poor beside manner. So it is very refreshing to have Dr. K here and be the complete opposite. He is personable, kind, and doesn't make you feel like your questions are dumb.
