Dr. Munuswamy is very knowledgeable but his bedside manner and listening is not something I want in my doctor. He did not want to listen and it shows in the synopsis he wrote after my appointment. I was hoping given the standing of Holy Cross that I would have found my new cardiologist but I left his office feeling beaten down. I will not be returning to his office and I appreciate the ability to voice my experience. Thank you.

Like many others, I was originally referred to Dr Larned who didn't have any availability until December 2025. Instead I was offered an appointment with Dr Munuswamy and I took it. I arrived about 15 min early because I was a new patient and to my surprise, i was seen 15 min early. The ECG tech promptly performed my ECG and in less than 5 mins, Dr Munuswamy came in to see me. He was extremely smart, very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. He explained the results of my ECG, changed my BP meds (because my PCP had me on ineffective meds), gave me some 'homework' and said he wanted to see me again in 3 weeks. The entire visit took less than 30 min and it was the most informative 30 min appt I've ever had. I read some negative reviews and while I admit I wasn't in the room when people had their experiences and I respect everyone's opinion, I think the doctor was simply misunderstood. I am thankful to have him as my Cardiologist and I would certainly recommend him

He is the head of the Department and all things fall on him, making him a very busy Doctor. I am not ill, as many of his patients are, I am presently fortunate to have him try and understand my reasons to know more, so I can try my best to prevent illness and avoid having Death by Heart Attack as my family had. The tests he has performed has helped me know that I should have no worries.

This was my first visit to any doctor regarding this new heart concern, I am frightened and very concerned. Dr Munuswamy and intake person made me feel that they were concerned. I feel I and in the best hands to deal with my situation.. much gratitude!

The Dr. was unable to explain some of the test results and was upset when I asked. He disregarded the symptoms I described and became angry and curt. As a RN BSN with >40 years of critical care experience I have a good understanding of many medical issues. When the Dr told me what other options to pursue for answers he was angered when I told him that I had already and stated, 'you have answers for everything'. It resulted in him telling me because of my BMI that was the probable cause for my symptoms.
