Dr. Unger and the staff at the Advance Limb Preservation Clinic are very professional and courteous. When I visit the clinic, I feel confident that i've been treated by the best in the business.

Dr. Unger was great. Good communication and explained everything with detail. He was the second Dr I visited for this issue, first doctor didn't seem to care and just tried to sell me $600 insoles. Dr Unger seemed to care about finding the issue and helping correct it. 10/10 experience.

Dr. Unger was extremely rude and had terrible manners. He was grumpy and mad that I was a few minutes late even though there were no other patients before or after me. Literally, multiple staff were casually visiting and talking at their computers and I only saw one other patient in the entire area and I think they were seeing a different doctor. Does he realize that patients wait and wait for doctors from just a few minutes to hours. I checked in 7 minutes late and should not have been treated like that. He was not professional or kind at all. He spoke impatiently and disinterested and was out of there in probably under 6 minutes. I had other questions I wanted to ask but felt intimidated and did not speak up for fear of his response. Will never go to that doctor again and will not recommend. The health aide that checked me in was very nice. This is very unusual for UAB and so I was very surprised. Maybe he was having a bad day and I was a few minutes late, but he should not treat patients that way. After all, we are the ones paying him for his services. I feel like I definitely wasted my $40 co-pay.

Dr Unger was very helpful in terms of information. However, he spoke to me as if I was a person who had not followed instructions and was now complaining about my symptoms. That is not true. Perhaps he got that impression because I was seeking a second opinion.
