I wish the insurance company would let my Dr make my medical decisions and not have the right to not approve my medication. This has nothing to do with my Dr but it is very frustrating.

Dr .Joyce is always personable and listens to my concerns intently. She has always had a solution to any problem I have had and talks to me about the treatments she recommends and follows up with any changes. I trust Dr. Joyce to always do what is best for me. She is the best doctor I have ever had and always encourages me. The other office staff have always been kind and attentive.

While I was able to see Dr. Joyce in a timely manner for my first visit, I was unable to secure a follow-up appointment in one month, which is when she wanted to see me again. Instead, I have to wait two months, until March 20. This is concerning to me. I was very pleased by Dr. Joyce's timely response to the message I sent her via MyChart. It turned out the medication she wanted me to continue is no longer covered by my insurance. She replied to my message, and contacted my CVS with a prescription for an alternative medication that is covered by my insurance. I was also pleased that Dr. Joyce requested that a nurse provide me with samples of a few types of continuous glucose monitors, along with instructions as to how to use them. The nurse was knowledgeable and efficient.

Dr Joyce is wonderful. My husband and I both see her, and she is everything we would want in a doctor. Even if she hasn't seen us for a year, she is ready to discuss our most our most current health information. She understands our concerns and works with us to meet our health goals.

Listening to the patient is crucial the patient itself gives the information that leads the provider to find a solution. In my experience I haven't seen any improvement just the improvement that I am doing on my own research. Looking for a provider that would listen to me and not treat me as I am the issue or the reason why
