I have been with Michigan Heart for about 20 years, and was not unhappy with my prior physician, though I never felt I was fully informed. Since he retired and I have been with Dr. Holtze I have felt just the opposite - she explains clearly and for what reasons she believes each action is apropos. She adjusted my bp meds and that seems to already have had an impact one day later. She also chose to schedule an echocardiogram not because there is any apparent change in my aortic murmur, but rather because it has been 4 years since I had one and she wants confirmation that my condition is not diminishing. At age 83, these 2 examples seem to me to be 'smart medicine'.

I am seventy seven years old and I have had many health issues over my lifetime, but I rank Dr Holtze as the best doctor I have ever had. She is not only extremely intelligent, but she cares about your health and wellbeing.

Dr.Holtz always listens n does a very professional way of explaining any questions I may have.Trinity Health is very lucky to have a cardiologist like her.

I can highly recommend Dr Holtze for cardiac care. She is very knowledgeable and takes time to review all of your concerns. The fact that she sees patients in multiple locations is a plus for my schedule. She communicates clearly, even when the news is not what you might want to hear.
