I am in the later stages of the treatment provided by Dr Harmon. I had my prostate removed in June due to cancer. This visit today wasmore of a post op visit. When you hear you have cancer (no matter how treatable it might be) it is the scariest and difficult news to hear. Dr Harmon might tell patients and their spouses this information with some frequency, but he never forgets that you are not just one of the people he is sharing that information with, but a real person, with real emotions that is probably hearing those words for the first time ever. His message and conversation is clear and understandable in both the diagnosis and treatment plan. The important part is it is delivered and explained with compassion. This made me feel like I was in the hands of someone who truly cared about me as a person. When he explained my options and his recommended treatment plan he spoke with such knowledge and confidence that even though you are scare I felt confident in his skilled care. During my months of test-biopsies-etc it was not uncommon for Dr Harmon to call me on his way home from the office to both explain what the results meant and simply to check in on how the information was sitting with me. I could continue on, but I suspect you understand how special I think Dr Harmon is. The people is our area are truly blessed that he decided to share his skills as a surgeon, his expertise in his knowledge of prostate cancer and treatment, and as important his spirit of love and compassion that he shared with me.

The doctor made me feel calm and I could relax as much as possible. He was a warm, pleasant person. His nurse, Shaquita, was also efficient and pleasant. I felt like I could be honest with a friend that I had known for years.

From the time I signed in to the time i signed out in Dr.Harmon office made everything easy for me and they gave me paperwork on all my test results and Dr.Harmon went thru each test result line by line that was easy for me to understand left his office feeling very relaxed knowing I was in great hands.
