Dr Joy Chuang is so nice and very smart. During a routine eye exam, she found retina tears in both of my eyes while they were still small, not affecting my vision yet, and still able to be easily repaired before they turned into detached retinas. I am sooo thankful for her!

Because the overbook their appointments. it takes 2 hours or more to complete appointment. You wait an unacceptable amount of time before you are called back to begin the eye exam. Then you wait a while before someone comes in to begin the process. Then you are moved to another area where you wait until someone takes you to another place for the next part of the exam. This process is so long and drawn out that you cannot make an appointment for at least 3 to 4 hours after your eye appointment. I live in Gardendale, AL. My husband and I are diabetic, so we need to see an ophthalmologist. Callahan has the only ophthalmologists in the Gardendale area. I would definitely NOT use Callahan if anyone else was available.
