Dr. Sappington has a great chairside manner. He takes his time with his patient and spouse, He speaks and includes both of us. I feel his knowledge is excellent. He jokes and make you feel comfortable. He is quite the asset to SSM Health. His staff is very kind to all patients and support family. Dorothy is always helpful and ready to jump up and come out into the waiting room to help not only us but all of the patients and support family signing in. I pay attention to things like that. Staff is just as important as the doctor. I wish I knew all of their names, darn it. Dorothy and staff are an asset as well to SSM Health.

He takes his time discussing treatment options and I felt like he is truly concerned with helping me get the correct treatment for my hearing loss. He is knowledgeable and very direct in explaining what we can do.

Dr. Sappington is very knowledgeable about his field, and yet was able to explain things so that we could understand. He helped us understand why we were going to proceed with the next steps he recommended. He gave the referral needed to see the audiologist who can help me with getting the type of hearing aid I need. He made it clear that I could come back to see him in the future if I wanted to pursue a different solution for my hearing loss.

We just want to say, “Thank you”, for the care I received at my appointment. He even took the time to clean the wax out of my ears. He was very caring and interested in us (my husband had accompanied me to this appointment). He really put us at ease. We appreciate him making our experience a pleasant and informative one.

He is an outstanding doctor to whom I will refer everyone I know who is in need of an ENT. From consultation, to treatment options, pre- and post-op care, and follow up I can't really right off any ways he could improve. Top of the line care across the board.

Very down to earth and personable. Explained everything in understandable terms. Explained his thoughts as we discussed. It didn’t feel like he had a 100% made plan when he walked in the room. He listened and collaborated with me to come to the next steps of the care plan

Dr. Sappington saved the hearing in my left ear several years ago. He’s not only a very capable ENT specialist, he is extremely courteous and takes an interest in his patients and staff. I recommend him highly.
