Dr. Mathew takes the time to know me as a patient and a person. Beyond his medical expertise, he cares about and understands your insurance and costs. He's very meticulous with notes and follow up. One of the best doctors I've ever known.

The doctor was great, but the front desk secretaries were not helpful at all. They should be very much cooperative with the patients, and I was not too happy. They said they don't have a fax machine, they don't have this, they don't have copy machine, they cannot scan this, they cannot make copy. And I know that doctor's office always have a copy machine and all that stuff. And they should have an email also. That's the very key point that if doctor wants to send any email to them, the appointment, the reports and everything, they can do it. I don't have to call my primary to tell them to send it by fax or whatever it is. But I would suggest that they should have a copy machine in the office. They should be provided with that to make the copies of the patients' information and all that stuff. Thank you.

The provider, Dr. Joseph Mathews, is an excellent doctor. He knows his subject very well. The practice has to work on the front office. The people who talk to the patient when they come in, they are very, very impatient and very inconsiderate with the patient. They do not understand the patient or they do not understand the patient's need and they are very, very impatient and very rude with the patients. You really need to work on their people skill and the patient skill. Thank you.

I waited over an hour to get in to see the doctor. It seems like every time I go, the waits are anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. It seems kind of ludicrous to make an appointment if I got to wait that long.

Dr. Mathew is an excellent doctor. He listens to you very carefully and he follows up. I have the best, best service with him all these 15 years. No problem. And I will recommend him. I do recommend him to other people too.

Not only did Dr. Mathew explain everything to me, he even drew pictures to help me understand my diagnosis better. He's a fantastic doctor. HMH is lucky to have him.

Dr. Mathew is the best MD and pulmonologist out there. He's patient, he's always informative, he's very knowledgeable, he's the best. I would recommend him to everybody and I hope he stays in practice forever.

I had a very bad cough for over three weeks. I went to an EMO, I went to my family doctor, and then I went to go see Dr. Joseph Matthew. Dr. Joseph Matthew was the only one who was able to diagnose the problem, put me on the right medications with inhalers, and I feel so much better.

I like the way Dr. Mathew reviews and compares prior visits/information with current visit to get overview of what is going on, rather than just making a judgment on current visit. He informs me of how medical conditions affect and effect my quality of life, and how to avoid as many complications as possible. He shows genuine concern and care.
