Dr Garlinghouse has been my personal family physician for at least two years. I have been very pleased with his care. His care has always been appropriate and empathetic. I am a retired [ ] and feel qualified to judge standard of care. He meets and often excels my expectations. I feel our small community is fortunate to have him.

Dr Garlinghouse and his staff are very friendly and listen well to what I have to say. They don’t push unnecessary tests or medication.

Knowledgeable and caring provider. Very difficult to to get an appointment or a question answered. So far They have returned my calls about 50% of the time. Called to get appt. Then after 4 days I tried to get appt. On line unsuccessfully. I then went to office after about a week and booked appt. Next day they responded to my original call.

Every time I come in or have to call or send a message, they always treat me with respect. They hear out my concerns and are actively trying to come up with the best and most realistic plan of action. I used to hate talking to my doctor before making the switch.

He is a goodla Doctor. He is knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He is always in control of the appointment. He cares more about being a good Doctor in a small community then working every angle to maximize his revenue. Dr. Joe Garlinghouse is the real deal. One [removed profanity] doctor in a small town. I wish him the very best for the future.

Dr. Joseph rocks his profession! Every since My Michigan Medical administration system took over; however, I feel like just a number. They have totally lost the good ol Dr. office atmosphere, and now everyone is in such a hurry trying to process you in and back out asap. It used to be a simple and personal 20 minute office visit was 15 minute conversation followed with 5 minutes of charting and documentations. Now with your new computers incorporated to save time has stolen the personal office visit, demanding 15 minutes for documenting and only 5 minutes for conversation. On the bright side I do appreciate the After Visit Summary, so long as it's my own!
