I was extremely impressed with HSS as it was my first time at this health care institution. I visited Dr. Starr and the experience was very calming and much better than I expected given my anxiety. Her nurse was calming understanding and very personable. When Dr. Starr came in, she was very thorough. Asked questions. Read my write up and calmly mapped some of the initial tests she wants to do. Her staff also went out of the way to see if we could do a telehealth appointment to follow up on the tests once they are complete. They called me even though I didn’t expect them to. And, Dr. starr made an exception for me to have a conversation on a different day than typical. I look forward to working with Dr. Starr, her staff and HSS.

I came to HSS to see Dr. Starr to get a second opinion about my osteoporosis treatment. She was absolutely great with her recommendations and I intend to see her now as my primary endocrinologist.

Dr. Starr is outstanding. I would travel from NYC to NJ to see her. I also thought the facility was really nice and well thought out (even as to the parking lot).

Dr. Starr is one of the most caring physicans I have met. She spent a lot of time discussing my medical issues and treatment options. I totally trust her decision making and feel very fortunate to have found her as my endocrinologist. I just wish all physicians were more like her.
