Providers need to address the patient and not the family member as much as possible. They need to speak clearly and slowly when the person is elderly and has hearing loss. We often leave the appt. with me having to translate everything to mom because in general, people speak quickly and quietly.

I never feel rushed when seeing Jessica. She takes her time with me, answers all my questions, and has been a great provider!
