Dr. Southard is an asset to St. Al's and Trinity Health. She is professional, current on evidence-based practice, and an excellent clinician. She is an excellent communicator, establishing a therapeutic relationship with her patients, talking with them eye-to-eye in a manner that distills complex medical terminology into an explanation that a non-medical person can understand. Most importantly, she collaborates with patients on decisions She never rushes an appointment, or dismisses a patient question..

Dr Southard did a thorough exam of the area in question. She asked appropriate questions to determine a fuller understanding of my issue. She gave me a list of options for further treatment and asked me what I felt would be most helpful. I like that she included me in the decision for which direction to go from there.
