The doctor thoroughly explained my options about the thyroid nodule concern that I have . We arrived at scheduled plan to track this concern .

As good as he is, I feel he is really spread too thin. As my appt. was late in the day, he was running behind, and I waited in the exam room for about 35-45 minutes for him to come in. I know why, as from my experience, he spends plenty of time with his patients, so no doubt was late having spent extra time with previous patients that afternoon. Additionally, it was very difficult to schedule a follow up appt. as he has almost no available appointments from now, late June, through January. The only time that we're available was in at 7:30 am on a Wednesday, and another at 8:00 on a Saturday. Not the most convenient times for me. I understand he is very busy, and a popular, well-liked doctor, but it seems his patient load is too great. Over the years, the problem has become worse, as appts are very hard to come by and have to be scheduled so far in advance or at inconvenient times. Short of cloning him, I feel his overall patient load needs to be addressed. Personally, as I have been seeing him for several years, I am not interested in switching to another doctor, so I guess that is part of the problem.

Dr Van Hooser is an excellent doctor. He is a great listener, is very easy to talk to, communicates the treatment plan, and spends the necessary time with you and you never feel rushed.

He is very sincere and supportive. Seems determined to find a solution to my problems. Never seems to be rushed to get to the next patient, and treats me like I am important.

Dr Van Hooser was extremely kind, professional, explaining his diagnosis and treatment for my issue. I saw Dr. Van Hooser years ago I think for an ear infection and he was just as kind and professional back then. I recommended him to my husband as soon as I got home the other day. I could not be more grateful and impressed with his kindness, understanding and the way he explained his recommendations.
