When a physician does not read entirely the medical history of a patient and fails to follow the concerns of a patient visit, it brings many issues. The reason for my visit mainly to this office was to discussed and treat a hiatal hernia that shows on every rest taken 2 months after a hiatal hernia repair. Along with the main concerns were other symptoms. The physician referred to a gastroenterologist even when my chart showed I had an appointment with a gastroenterologist the very next day. The referral was supposed to be for a test done at Vorhees not to another gastroenterologist. I felt that was a very poor decision. Another issue was the after summary visit. Short and not detailed as the visit should have been. The receptionist taking chart after checkout was also on phone as I left doctor visit and looked at me as if wanting to know what I needed when doctor just kept walking. I had to make a signal with my arm towards doctor so he can approach and ask. Doctor reply was "I put a referral". I felt as I was rushed out of the visit that should have been well looked into especially 2 months post surgery still with same issue. The only positive was intake nurse - Caring

Even prior to the appointment the doctors' staff were wonderful . The doctor was knowledgeable; professional and thorough. He took the time to listen and answer questions.

I'm so glad that I met Dr. Emrich and that he was part of my emergency treatment team. Could ask for a better doctor to guide me through this process. His bedside manner are the best as well as his professionalism. It's like having my brother in charge of my health.

From the moment I walked in the door I was treated warmly and with respect. Dr. Emrich and staff took time to explain test results and options for treatment. I did not feel rushed. I highly recommend the Virtua General surgery team.

I feel yet again dismissed and pushed off. I'm made to believe my pain isn't real and no one will actually help me. Except a doctor outside of Virtua sadly she has exhausted her options in urology.

The doctor was extremely professional, super kind, and listened to everything I had to say. I appreciate the input and the process moving forward so I can have adequate care. And I definitely want to see him after I get what I need to get done. So I appreciate the doctor being open to what I have to say and giving me his professional opinion as well.
