This is my second visit with gastroenterology at UAB. I have always found the staff, professional and caring. They take time to make you feel comfortable and to explain things and they give you an opportunity to ask questions.

Dr. Callaway and his associate spent a great deal of time asking questions and listening closely to my responses. I felt they were both genuinely concerned about my health. Additionally, I have confidence in the course of action they recommended for the treatment of my condition.

I see four specialists at the Kirklin Clinic, and it is great how each department communicates with each other to ensure that I get the best quality of service. With each visit, they demonstrate a caring attitude.

The doctor's PA was friendly and professional. Dr Callaway listened
and wanted to understand the ongoing problems with my cancer, the surgery, treatment and recovery. He has a plan, explained it and is scheduled testing. What a great Doctor! So grateful for Kirklin Clinic!!

The doctor and CRNP were excellent and relayed information in a knowlegeable and caring way. They also willingly answered my questions. I appreciated the doctor for reaching out to shake my hand as this was my first time meeting him. It was a simple gesture that helped build trust in my care team. The CRNP was fantastic as before and I feel confident reaching out to her if the need arises in the future.

It was such a pleasant experience. I was in my exam room at the time of my appointment and only waited a few minutes before someone was there.
