Everyone at his from check in to security to dr and nurses are amazing in their capacity for respect , compassion and care. Everything is patient focused toward the best possible outcomes. At this time for any medical or orthopedics care his is the only place I will go for my needs thank you he’s!

Everyone at that hospital is so nice & accommodating. All my questions were answered, and I felt very comfortable during the entire process. Dr Dowdell even called a few days later on a Saturday to check and see how I was feeling. So far my recovery has gone very well, and I look forward to a full & healthy recovery.

After having the same surgeon for 20 years and retiring to have to find a new one was very challenging but when I found Dr. Dowdell it seemed too good to be true! From the moment we met through every step until surgery and there after has been nothing but the best care and quality of service one would hope to have. He listened and understood my prior history and worked with that and around it to make this surgery the best outcome it could be. He gave me a surgical option and non surgical option but for me i went with the surgery and very happy that I did. Even since the surgery the care of Dr Dowdell has been exceptional.

Dr. James Dowdell is a wonderful person and doctor. He gives me guidance and suggestions to help with my spinal pain issues. He performed spinal surgery on me two years ago and fixed the worst of my pain and the whole experience was easier than I could have imagined. 👍👍

HSS is a machine, in the best sense of the word. This is what healthcare should look like. From scheduling to intake to nursing to my appointment with Dr Dowdell, HSS staff were personable, professional, knowledgeable, kind, and absolutely efficient. What a remarkable facility.

Never felt safer! I could not have had more confidence and trust in my surgeon! Actually both surgeons, but Dr. Dowdell is the gold standard by which all should be measured.
