My experience with Dr. Deakins confirmed that the previous doctor's evaluation was really weird and off. Dr. Deakins reset everything back to rightness, and her evaluation was more complete and responsive.

Dr. Deakins put me at ease right away. She was prepared for me, had apprised herself of my medical history. She did a thorough eye exam, explained every step, the reason for taking every step and gave clear instructions about next steps.The Technician was also very good, patient, explained every step, professional and friendly, put me at ease.

Dr. Deakins was very thorough during my scalera lens fitting. She answered all my questions and took a lot of time to get the right lens to correct my vision. She was very kind and explained everything well. I would definitely recommend her to friends and family who needed the same eye care.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Deakins, OD for follow-up care after cataract surgery. She was professional, caring and thorough answering all of my questions. I felt very comfortable and satisfied with the patient care she provided. I would most definitely refer others to the Wilmer Eye Institute at John Hopkins.
