Online check-in is very helpful. There was no extended amount of time in the waiting area. Greeted pleasantly by all I had to interact with. Reviewed what has taken place since my previous visit and what options I have. Thoroughly explained what plan they have moving forward for my continued care. Discussed what treatment they felt would benefit me the most and performed it.

Efficient and friendly staff and intake persons. Very reasonable to negligible wait time. Dr. McKeag was informative and responsive to my reports as to my condition and pain levels, and answered my questions as to long term effects thoroughly and reasonably. I am glad he is going to continue with this clinic!

As always, the staff is always professional, helpful in assisting with such kindness and willingness if personal assistant. Dr Ian Mckeag is phenomenal in his mannerisms, concern about the care of his patients, and great putting me at ease doing my procedures. Great doctor.

I thought I would have to wait weeks to get an appointment but I had one the next day after I called! The Front desk staff, Dr [last name] and Dr McKeag were all highly professional,took time to listen to my problems and throughly explained my condition and treatment. Excellent visit!

I was able to schedule my appointment within week I called. Was called back within 10 min of arrival. My visit was completed within 30 min. Every staff member was professional, competent and focused on my care. Highest regards for each step of my visit! Perfect 10 out of 10!

I have had intermitten pain around my left knee for several years. The last 3 years involved draining fluid from the knee every 3 to 4 months and adding a steroid. On June 23, 2026, we discussed other prospects but NO surgery. While other ideas could be a temporary "fix" and lessen my pain, I decided to continue on with the very good results I have found from the 3 to 4 month plan. So, fluid was drained, meds were inserted.

It takes too many visits (payments) to determine the nature of a problem, and began the treatments or remedies for healing. I went to 4 different locations each giving a different diagnosis or no diagnosis. Each visit requires a copay. I finally received a correct diagnosis from the highlands doctor.

Dr.Mckeag Dr.[ ] and all of the staff that I met with were wonderful the receptionist the nurse that check my vitals and the scheduler the xray Tech they were all a credit to UAB. They polite friendly and informative picking them for my first visit to Uab highlands was a great choice

Each visit seems extremely complicating, the communication in between in the portal is very delayed and often very confusing. I just don’t think it should be this hard to get good coverage and help.

I can’t say enough good things about UAB Sports Medicine, Dr. McKeag, Phil, and Brandon. From start to finish, the care and dedication were outstanding. You all genuinely care about your patients, and it shows. I’m beyond thankful for everything you’ve done for me. I just hate that Highlands took away the free parking across the street.
