First, this was my very first visit to JHH Outpatient facility. I went to wrong check-in location. I did get there beforehand at 7:45 for my 8am appointment with Dr Hoke. So, mixup on exact location of visit was all my fault. Dr Hoke was extremely patient with me, listened attentively to me, answered all my questions, just a superb Doctor. I need a Neurologist of Dr Hoke's experience level to treat my CIDP, so I am changing over to him as my soon to be new Neurologist. Dr Hoke is taking on new patients.

Dr. Hoke is amazing. He not only clearly cares about his patience, but his knowledge of peripheral neuropathy and applying it to my condition is so reassuring. He is truly a gem. Hopkins should make sure he's happy there so that he doesn't leave! And I've seen a lot of doctors in my life, so I don't say this lightly.

Dr. Hoke and his assistant ([staff]) Were extremely thorough in the exam. They answered my questions, listened to my comments and offered a lot of information. Dr. Hoke explained that they want to discover the cause of my neuropathy in order to possibly target treatment, something that was not happening at Kaiser, which referred me to Dr. Hoke. Eleven blood samples plus a urine sample were taken to facilitate that.

Dr. Hoke conducted the most thorough neurological exam I have ever had, and I have had several. He left no stone unturned.

Dr. Hoke is wonderful he has the ability to show care consideration and interest in your issues and never makes you feel rushed out the door. This is so rare unfortunately in our current medical system, we need more Dr. Hoke's!

Dr. Hoke exemplifies excellence as a healer and scientist; I cannot adequately express my admiration for his technical expertise, as well as for his interpersonal (communication and empathy) skills. I suspect that his students feel privileged to have a teaching-clinician of his caliber. I regard myself as incredibly fortunate to have been the recipient of his exemplary care, and have enjoyed every aspect of my interaction with him; his interest, concern, learned Ness, responsiveness, and humanity. Dr. Hoke is an unqualified credit to Johns Hopkins.
