Dr. Hatch took the time to listen and be attentive - something I haven't experienced with a PCP for a long time.

He is a fantastic doctor. I feel so lucky to have him.

I recently moved to South Bend, IN two month's ago and needed to establish a new primary care provider (PCP). My former provider was over an hour and a half drive away which was unrealistic to remain with that provider. After searching through my insurance provider's portal for providers and making calls to a few providers, I was able to be scheduled and seen the soonest with Dr. Jordan Hatch, M.D. at Trinity's Northwest Family Medicine office in South Bend. Seeing that I just moved to South Bend, I didn't know much about any of the medical providers, hospital systems, or healthcare systems. I had asked coworkers for recommendations giving me options to consider. After having my first visit yesterday, 04/30/2026, I am extremely happy I chose Dr. Jordan Hatch as my new PCP. My visit was more urgent than just needing to establish a new PCP because I was also needing prescription refills for some of the prescriptions I had ran out of including blood pressure and antidepressant. I was unsure whether Dr. Hatch initially would refill the prescriptions since this visit was to establish me as a new patient of his, but he took the time to review all my medical history, listened to my concerns and questions regarding switching some medications for different ones, and since I hadn't eaten since the evening before my 11:30am appointment, he even immediately ordered my lab tests and scheduled my blood draw in the office right then and there for fasting labs. Dr. Hatch is a younger doctor who is very knowledgeable and took the time to not only listen to me about my health but helped me to become better educated and understand my health issues. He was knowledgeable about other prescriptions I could try rather than some of the ones I was currently taking and had concerns of their effectiveness. I was really impressed how polite, attentive, understanding, and knowledgeable Dr. Hatch was. I had never had a PCP take the time to listen and discuss; rather, I was always used to, "This is the standard of what we will do." My much needed refills were sent to CVS before I even left my appointment, and I was able to pick them up after I was done. I had received my lab results within two hours of my visit and able to review them on the Trinity's MyChart app I had downloaded on my phone. You can also check-in to appointments, have appointment reminders, and communicate with Dr. Hatch and his team through the app. Later that evening, I received a follow-up call from Dr. Hatch's team member who informed me Dr. Hatch asked her to let me know my lab results were completed and able to be viewed in the MyChart app, and Dr. Hatch had asked her to inform me everything looked good with my lab results. I had reviewed my lab results, and noticed Dr. Hatch had even sent me a message in the app letting me know the lab results looked great. I don't know about anyone else, but this is the first time I have ever had that great of an experience and follow through with any medical provider I have been a patient of in my 44 years of existence. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy. I didn't have to wait in a lobby for an hour only to be seen by a doctor for 10-15 minutes. I honestly would recommend Dr. Jordan Hatch and his team at Northwest Family Medicine to anyone in the South Bend metro area. I feel I made a lucky choice and glad to now be his patient and feel like my health is in good hands.

I switched to Dr. Hatch probably close to a year ago. I'd gone to the same doctor for many years. They had a doctor but then you never seen the doctor because you're always seen the nurse practitioner and I just kind of felt like they were grasping in the dark on on trying to solve your symptoms and finally, I decided that I would switch over to another doctor and my parents go to [another provider in that practice] which I'm very fond of her as well but they had an opening for Dr. Hatch and I said sure and I am so happy that I changed to him He's a wonderful calming person that you feel like when you walk out of there that he has listened to you and thank you for all the kind girls that work at the desk.

He is just an extraordinary good doctor.Other doctors could learn a thing or two from him.
