Dr. Haenel recommended that I try the pump again, specifically the SmartGuard pump. I am very thankful and happy that I did!I have lost 15 pounds in three months because of how well this new and much improved pump helps reduced highs and almost eliminated lows. Interestingly it also reduced my sugar cravings.In the doctor's office, I worked with Lauri [ ], nurse, who trains patients on this pump. She displayed great emotional intelligence when she helped me learn a complicated process of attaching and using the transmitter and receiver!

Dr Haenel was my answered prayer! I've been in and out of endocrinology offices for years and for the FIRST time, a doctor truly took the time to explain how/why my autoimmune disease worked. He was so genuine and caring, it actually made me emotional bc FINALLY someone who would truly invest in my health. Dr. Haenel is and has always been very professional. He takes interest in your health. He actually saved my life 2 years ago when none of my other doctors considered the condition I was talking about. Dr. Haenel looked at my lab results and called me immediately. I needed to have large gall stones removed from my common duct. My gall bladder had been removed many years before. I had often complained of feeling like I still had gall stones - no one listened. Dr. Haenel did. Put me in touch with a good surgeon and had the procedure done.

My doctor is excellent. I have had three other doctors specializing in this field that includes treatment for cancer. Dr. H. Is by for the most informed, capable, kind and full of grace and understanding of all of the doctors I have worked with. I can credit my Roper surgeon for saving my life and Dr. H. Managing the rest of it.
