This was the first time meeting with Dr Xu GAO and I was completely satisfied with her treatment, explanations and answers to all my questions. I will recommend her to family and friends.

Dr. Gao referred me to Dr. Andrew Hughey for a consultation on a Watchman Implant which she is not currently able to provide. I appreciated that she offered me a solution that was available at Michigan Heart Institute but not within her expertise.

She takes a lot of time of her busy schedule to explain things in an understandable way. She has a very pleasant demeanor. I enjoyed my visit. She is very skilled in her field.

Dr. Gao does a good job of understanding individual personalities. She was able to quickly discern that I had some medical background, and was anxious about my new condition. I had many questions written down and she addressed them all. I had another question and contacted her via my chart messaging the next day and got an immediate response. Much appreciated.
