Dr. Galaiya has been an excellent ear surgeon throughout the past three years, in which I have experienced serious health challenges and the death of my husband. Dr. Galaiya is always there and responsive to my needs. She's operated on my eardrum twice and is unfailingly skilled, personable, empathetic and patient.

Excellent ENT surgeon. This was a follow-up after cochlear implant surgeru on 1 Apr 2026 at JHH in Baltimore, There were no complications from the surgery.

Very understanding about my situation regarding scheduling of appointments at different sites (live in Rockville and do not drive, so that visits to Baltimore-area facilities are difficult for me to reach.

I appreciate the doctor for scheduling me as I know she is busy and I am currently living in PA. I lived in Baltimore for 30+ years and knew that John's Hopkins Hospital is an excellent hospital.

Dr. Deepa Galaiya is a very capable surgeon, but she doesn't rush to do a surgery. She always listens to me carefully and then forms her own conclusions about the treatment. In my case, she decided to wait to see if my cholesteatoma improved and it did so by the time of the second visit (most recent). She also examined my other ear to make sure that was OK and also provided m referral for a physical therapist to teach me at-home maneuvers for vertigo.

This was the first time I've seen Dr. Galaiya and I was very impressed. She listened and made valuable suggestions. She ordered some follow-up. I scheduled one follow-up appointment but have not yet scheduled the other as her office manager has not yet received the orders from the doctor. The office manager has been very helpful though.
