I saw Dr. Shafer when I went to urgent care clinic. Everyone i encountered was friendly and courteous (how refreshing!). I was in and out within an amazingly short period and left feeling I was understood. I recently moved to the area and WILL be calling for a new patient appointment to get established with a new GP because I was so pleased with how this visit went.

Best doctor we have had in a long time. He needs his own office so i can make him our primary doctor. Sucks hes only a urgent care doctor. Mr Schafer u need ur own office please consider opening one (: he took great care of our daughter

I would love if this doctor would open up his own office hes a great doctor and needs to recognized as such. He talked to me answered everything i asked and took care of our daughter. Great doctor hands down.

I walked in without an appointment. I got to see the doctor in 10 minutes(very good ). Doctor was busy but he did not use that as an excuse. He listened very very well ! The lady at the front desk was awesome too ! That's why I use U of M . Always now.

Go to urgent care when you can they are timely and do their best to help you.

The doctor was very thorough and compassionate. Took his time to understand our medical history and address concerns. He was great with my children and made it a positive and comfortable experience for them. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand. It was an urgent care visit for 3 out of my 5 children, but one of the best doctor visit experiences we have ever had anywhere.

This was a walk-in visit on a Sunday when the Tawas clinic was closed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I received treatment for my issue in a timely manner. Dr Schafer was very efficient but took time to explain everything and asked more than once if I needed help with any other health issues. He was very pleasant (unlike my regular provider..)

Very clean! My appointment was quick and very helpful for why I was there. The nurse that took my vitals was awesome and so was the gentleman that took my x-ray! Dr Pat was great.
