My visit with. Dr. Lacksen was great. She took the time to listen to my concerns, hear my reservations about taking a new medication and then giving her honest opinion while taking into consideration my family history, stage on life and bloodwork trends. She has a knack for remembering details and making her patients feel heard and important.
This being said, unfortunately it was my last visit with Dr Lacksen. She will be leaving Piedmont for another opportunity.
It is hard to put into words how much I have enjoyed having Dr. Lacksen as my doctor. She is incredibly knowledgeable, honest, dependable, and truly cares about her patients. She always took the time to listen, explain things clearly, and make me feel confident in every decision about my health.
Her expertise and professionalism have made a lasting impact on my life, and I am so grateful for the exceptional care she has provided over the years.
While I wish her nothing but success in her next chapter, I have no doubt that she will be deeply missed by all of her patients.

She has been my PCP as well as my daughter’s & mother’s PCP for 20 years. We have always received excellent care from her.

Dr. Lacksen always takes the time to listen to my concerns, answer every question, and explain everything thoroughly. She has an exceptional bedside manner and makes you feel completely comfortable discussing anything. She genuinely cares about her patients, always checking in on how life is going overall—not just your medical concerns. I never feel rushed during my appointments, and I truly appreciate the compassionate, personalized care she provides.

Dr. Lacksen is an excellent physician and I have greatly appreciated her for many years. Unfortunately, she is leaving this practice. I never received a letter to this effect, and no provision has been made for a new provider at the practice so I could not make my next appointment. I am disappointed in Piedmont, but never disappointed with Dr. Lacksen.

I was in the hospital last Friday, and Dr. Lacksen called on me on Monday to schedule a follow up on Thursday, I have never had a doctor respond in this way before.
