I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Eytan Debbi at HSS throughout the evaluation and treatment of my hip condition, culminating in a successful hip arthroplasty. From the outset, Dr. Debbi demonstrated exceptional communication skills—explaining my diagnosis, treatment options (from non-surgical to the actual surgical approach) in a clear, direct, and comprehensible manner, even when discussing medical terminology and technical considerations. What stood out most was Dr. Debbi’s decisiveness paired with thoughtfulness. He clearly laid out the available options, along with a balanced discussion of risks and benefits, enabling me to make informed decisions with confidence. At the same time, he is an excellent listener—taking the time to fully understand my questions, and responding with precision and clarity. Whether the discussion involved subjective judgment calls on timing of surgery or highly technical details—such as the specific procedure, selection of medical devices, and the rationale behind those choices—his explanations were thorough and thoughtfully calibrated to my desire for detail. Postoperatively, his follow-up was clear, attentive, and reassuring, providing continuity and confidence throughout recovery. 6 weeks post op and I am back to work full time and walking around 8,500 - 9,000 steps a day with ease. Overall, Dr. Debbi combines outstanding surgical expertise with exceptional communication, judgment, and genuine human connection. I felt listened to, well-informed, and supported at every stage of the process, and I could not have asked for a better experience or outcome.
