It is always a pleasure coming to see Dr. Erika Walsh. She was highly recommended as being the best and most knowledgeable Ear Specialist for my problem with hearing loss. I have enjoyed getting to know her and she takes excellent care of me and my husband. She is extremely professional and every experience I have had at the Otolaryngology Clinic with she and her staff has been wonderful. She is an asset to UAB and their patients.

The entire staff was courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. The Surgery Resident was thorough and answered my questions without seeming rushed. Dr. Walsh is always pleasant and attentive. She examined me, conducted tests and set out a plan for additional testing to identify and remedy my problem. I highly recommend Dr. Walsh and the UAB otolaryngology department

Dr. Walsh and all the medical staff were knowledgeable, professional and cordial. They answered all my questions and did not seem rushed or to fail to listen. The appointment scheduling errors and changes were highly unpleasant, and two appointment letters by mail have been incorrect. One arrived after the appointment date. However, Melody [ ] responded to my portal message and, after several efforts, I was able to have an appointment with Dr. Walsh. The care I receive is fine. The appointment system failed this time.

Appointment time was honored and was in and out in a reasonable amount of time without feeling rushed. Staff was professional and kind. Dr. Walsh explained test results and was very thorough in examining and treating. She was an excellent mentor for the young physicians who were in training.

I have been A patient of UAB for A very long time. I have always, always been treated with care, kindness, love and respect ; each time that I’ve had occasion to visit the clinic or hospital. In my opinion, no one wants to be sick or in need of medical attention, but it’s a fact of life that in time we all have need for medical care. In any situation, I would rather be cared for by UAB doctors. This is my personal choice.

Dr. Walsh and her staff are extremely knowledgeable, patient, and do an excellent job with patient rapport. Every time I come in for a visit, I experience the exact same level of care as if I'm a new patient. I never feel rushed or as if I'm unimportant. She always makes sure all questions are answered and is very clear in explaining diagnostics and next steps along with the reasoning behind them.
