What could have been done to improve your experience?
Faster care. I had to approach staff to inquire how much longer was the wait going to be IN THE WAITING ROOM TO BE SEEN. Over 2 hours for a seriously ill person who had to be transported. Once in a room, care proceeded well. Additionally, a urine sample sat unattended and untested for a very long time. To the naked eye, it could be determined there was something wrong. I had to draw that to someone attention before the sample was retrieved for testing.

Never saw the doctor. After CT and x rays . Never saw anyone. Not until I pushed for the bathroom. A lot of people standing around the nurses station.
What could have been done to improve your experience?
Everything needed addressing. The staff were very polite. Need to let patients now wats going on.

The wait time in the emergency waiting time is ridiculous. People were waiting 5 to 8 hours to see a doctor. It was sad seeing people in distress and pain sitting in uncomfortable chairs for hours. Uncalled for, there needs to a solution for this problem.

Speed things up. Making people sit for 5 to 8 hours in uncomfortable chairs, no where to lay their heads down for this ridiculous wait time is truly disappointing. Watching people in pain and wait for hours isn't right.

Actually follow through with visit. I was xrayed and pushed out the door by xray tech without seeing anyone.

We were taken right into our room and we attended to immediately! No long wait…nice and caring, very clean also! Things were managed quickly .. One of the best experiences ever going into an emergency room thank you for that!

Naomi was the nurse and she was exceptional with explanations. The “doctor” was busy and I didn’t see her much. The tests were ordered and most administered before I was even given a bed.

The emergency room care was great but the thought of having to stay there for days until a bed in a hospital was available was not acceptable and I checked out AMA

He goes above and beyond to make people feel comfortable, cared for, and valued. Not a single thing this visit, I have always been an advocate for the ER, they have literally saved my life 3 times and this time was a total let down.
What could have been done to improve your experience?
Everything, communication, cleanliness some compassion towards being there over 9 hours with information provided. Even allowed us to leave without going over discharge papers and making sure we had everything. Had to make an extra trip back to pickup the sparometer that was supposed to go home with me. Never informed me that I couldn't eat or drink while laying there all that time

The doctor, besides being a “doppleganger” for my [ ]..she looks SO much like her, lol!!! She was amazing! Attentive, undertaking, taking the time to explain pertinent circumstances. She made me feel seen and heard.
What could have been done to improve your experience?
The triage nurse Stephanie [ ] seemed to be having a very bad day. She wasn’t very caring or supportive during a time when we could really have used it. I observed later that she may have been [ ] so that’s when I decided she may have just been struggling that day. Hopefully she feels better soon!

Once I got into a room treatment was good. But waiting 31/2 to 4 hours waiting for a room was unacceptable & very disappointing. I realize that it can get busy but that's too long for someone that is in pain. I was in terrible pain from passing a kidney stone.

Better service than I got . I don't think I will ever come to your ER again.!!!!?

Drs and nurses extremely caring and professional much better team then a year ago. They didn’t let me sit for hours unattended. Greatly appreciated that.

What could have been done to improve your experience?
Follow up visit with Dr. Kahn said a T-Spine X-ray should have been done. Had to go back to get this done.

New emergency room is wonderful. Staff extremely knowledgeable and caring. Lost my wife last year. Really appreciate the care my wife received in numerous visits in the last 5 years.

After shift change at 7 pm, I saw one nurse. No doctor until I was discharged. I had to call for an update. My reason for being there was diagnosed properly, and the necessary testing was performed prior to shift change. I was experiencing a great deal of pain, and notified the RN prior to shift change, and the aide after. Both said they'd notify the doctor. Well, like I said, no RN or doctor until I was discharged, wherever doctor stated there was nothing he could do. Just a really bad experience.

Be a little more adherent.

The nurse was amazing. Actually the whole staff was except for one male nurse who was like in outer space and just was out to lunch mentally. But overall it was good.

Not have that one male nurse in green scrubs there. He may have just been an orderly but he was not the brightest.

Our first time in new emergency room, disappointed. The old one seemed much better with more attentive. Long periods of time without anyone checking on us.

Just having someone pop there head into check on you is huge. My husband had to find a wheelchair to get me to the bathroom.

No! Everything was poor. And to think how much money was wasted to build this nice facility only to be under staffed and extremely slow and no very bright. Billing team needs to learn how to bill the VA. And if you use 3rd parties make sure they know how and whoam to bill. I will drive 30+ minutes to another ER if possible before I have to lay 6+ hours on the floor in pain ever again. Not once was I checked on. It really was my worst ER experience Ive had and delt with for days later trying to get the billing taken care of.

Check on people in the waiting room, hire more trained staff to help. Train your admin.

My first nurse was quite a talker. His consistent swearing was very unprofessional. He bragged about how great he was with starting IV’s but failed miserably while doing mine. Then he said he was getting someone else and never came back. The following nurse managed to do it on the first try. I am not from the Clare area but I was definitely surprised by the lack of professional that this facility showed. I was there for several hours and not once did they ever come into the room to see how I was doing or if I needed anything. I didn’t think that they were that busy. The parking lot was not full at all. I feel that professionalism needs to be worked on. The staff needs to remember that your there because your not well and should definitely be more attentive to a patients needs. The new facility is beautiful but the care portion of the job certainly needs improvement..

Not tell me I needed surgery without knowing 100 percent that's what I needed...unesscary stress due to false information....and during registration the women pretty much told me y'all couldn't do anything anyways even though nobody had checked me out yet....and being that I don't need surgery I don't feel like the ambulance ride was necessary either.
