Dr Brown was very kind and responsive. He explained things in detail and answered my questions. I don’t ever enjoy coming to the ER but he made me feel comfortable. He was honest with me on the role of the ER in terms of ruling in or out emergent issues and the importance of following up with my outpatient team. The entire process was efficient and I felt cared for.
What could have been done to improve your experience?
Nothing. The efficient check in process and getting tests and labs even before my room was available made a huge difference.

The nurse team i had at intake were great. They placed the IV quickly and I felt very comfortable.

I love always having inquisitive young nurses/techs who are willing to listen to my story, which is exactly what I had today. And I love seeing Tenley [ ] here - she’s the best <3

Just wait times, but honestly an hour and a half for a Monday morning wasn’t the worst, so I guess nope you guys did great :)

Ryan was my nurse and he was very thorough and understanding. Took everything I said into consideration and actually listened to me.
What could have been done to improve your experience?
The doctor Gabby seem to just believe all of my symptoms were related to my pregnancy even though I explained it was not normal feelings I’ve had in my previous pregnancy. It has not gone on for the entirety of my pregnancy thus far which is why I was growing concern and she brushed it off. Was very condescending as well and talking to me like I do not know what I am talking about

Triage should make sure the door is closed after each patient. It would also help to have an extra chair or two in there for the accompanying person to sit. Did not smell “clean” like many other ers I’ve been in. No one greeted either of us, not any of the nurses…none. No “Hi I am”, or “Is your name”. The doctor is the only person in the whole hospital that was cordial, introduced himself and was caring. And the walk back to the room ….what ER would put the check in where it is when it was a good five minute walk to one of the rooms? People that do not feel well should not have to walk that far. Thank you for the opportunity to give you this feedback today. I really appreciate it. If I may suggest, go to Mt Pleasant hospital as a patient and see how they treat not only patients but people in general. I cannot even go in detail to explain it, you have to experience it.

I appreciated the explanations when I asked questions of the doctor and the nurse in ultrasound. The young women in transportation was thoughtful and offered me a blanket since she noticed I was cold. Her name is Ronni [ ].
