Dr. Elkis is wonderful! She did her best to help me deal with the fact that I have to drive so far to get to this facility. She spoke with the folks in the Prolia department to see if I could get my shot while I was there they agreed to do so, however, Kelly, was concerned that my insurance might not pay for it so she checked with the insurance companies sure enough she was right. Unfortunately, this whole process just took forever and I ended up leaving without the shot. My husband had already been sitting in the car in the parking lot For almost 2 hours. my time with Dr. Ellis was fairly quick. She provided me with some good information in reference to my bone health, so I have absolutely no complaints with her or her staff. It was just disappointing that I wasn’t able to stay to get the shot while I was there. Now on Monday I will need to be on the road for an hour and a half to get my Prolia shot. Everyone did the right thing, it was just the timing and insurance issues. The good news is, we know why I can’t get my shot on the same day as I’m having a DEXA or meeting with the doctor. I will miss Dr. Elkis.

My appointment was great as always. She takes her time to listen to my concerns, explain the next steps, she gives options with pros and cons. I'll be sad to see her leave this practice. Dr. Elkis is an amazing doctor.

Whenever I see Dr. Elkis I actually feel like I'm being listened to. I am given options, important information, and am allowed to ask questions at my own pace. I don't feel rushed and I actually feel like she cares about her patients. She is always very friendly and is willing to explore my health issues with me instead of just giving up once the answer isn't what she expected. I'm so used to doctors talking over me, not addressing my concerns, and not taking the time to try to find answers in regards to what could be going on with my health. I'm happy with my experience even though we're still trying to figure some things out.

Dr. Elkis is such an amazing Dr. She was kind and compassionate, she took her time to hear what I had going on and after a year of dealing with my symptoms she was able to diagnose me with what I have and get the right medication prescribed. I saw Dr. Elkis as a new patient, having recently relocated to Frederik from Falls Church, VA. Dr. Elkis was very pleasant and patiently reviewed my patient history and copies of tests from other doctors that I provided. She spent an appropriate amount of time with me as a new patient and provided clarity of instructions for taking care of my health and concerns. Unfortunately, she said that she will be moving in a few months and I would be in the care of her replacement, Dr. Oshinsky.
