I go to Dr Ali on a regular basis. At both offices, (Reston and Leesburg) the staff is friendly, professional, and in the case of the technicians, very gentle and encouraging. At each appointment they have to check my vision, give me powerful drops, check the pressure and take photos and I truly appreciate their gentleness and kindness. Dr Ali was very solicitous and rinsed my eyes when I told him the drops were causing discomfort. Dr Ali was also very positive about my condition and about its progression. It is so reassuring to have Dr Ali and the staff to rely on.

Dr. Ali restored my vision and my life. My vision was 20/200 (very poor) before surgery. Today, four months after surgery, my vision is 20/25. Life is so good! Thank you Dr. Ali! You are an excellent retina surgeon!!

Dr. Ali is very professional and friendly. He relates information in an easy to understand manner. He provides a clear outline of what the different paths forward may be, depending on progress (or lack thereof). I have been very pleased by the service Dr. Ali provides, as well as the entire Retina Group of Washington (Leesburg). On my most recent visit, Richard was my technician. He has helped me before, and keeps a smile on my face. He is professional, friendly and informative. Extremely pleased with my visit.

Dr Ali is friendly and professional. He always explains everything in detail and answers all my questions. I dont feel rushed during the visit and he puts me at ease. I like him a lot and he has been consistent every time I have seen him. The assistants are all very friendly as well. Unfortunately there is one front desk receptionist who is never friendly, always abrupt and never smiles. But everyone else is great so I won’t let one bad apple affect my experience. I highly recommend Dr Ali.

An outstanding Doc, clearly super smart, great bedside manner, good communications and explanations, takes the timer needed, and though I have a potentially serious retina issue, he makes me feel I am in the BEST hands. My absolute fav at RGW and that is why I fly up from FL annually to see him.

I had a detached retina and needed an emergency procedure. Dr. Ali opened the office after hours to care for my eye and saved my vision. He is knowledgeable and professional while being very kind and caring in a scary situation for me. I could not recommend Dr. Ali and the Retina Group of Washington more highly.

At my first encounter with Dr. Ali several year ago, I was in the midst of a late afternoon Retina Detachment. After carefully taking stock of my situation, Dr. Ali concluded that the surgery could wait for 24 hrs, while a surgeon could be located that would be willing to extend his work day to take care of my eye. Dr. Ali's good instincts were most helpful in determining the best course of action for my condition; and the outcome was very, very, good.
