When problems are explained to Dr. Dibble, he often just prescribes something, he doesn't really do any tests to see what the cause of the problem is or he just assumes it is something. He could use some work in not being an "armchair prescriber" .

Bill doesn't seem to address or even care about what I tell him at times. I've been telling him about certain things for a long time and they never seem to get addressed unless my wife speaks up-and she does speak up! I've explained to him several times about the pain in the shoulders, the need to have my TBI e-evaluated, (it has been many years since it was looked at and I was given a neurological exam for it.) I am still waiting for them to make the referral to a neurologist in the Utica/Rome area to have that evaluation done. His referral department stinks because when did it become the patient's responsibility to get the name and number of a provider from the referral department and then the patient calls to schedule? When did that happen, or is the department just lazy because of the area I asked for? It seems he is not afraid to charge me $400+ for an appointment that he does nothing about my concerns, the only thing he is concerned about are refills on medication. Also, at this last visit, there was an RN who did the triage and when she asked what I was there for, I stated my regular follow-up and I needed clearance from him for my colonoscopy. I could hear the nurse complaining about just being told about this now and that it wasn't on the follow-up visit notes. She was rude about it and could be heard from the exam room speaking to Bill about it. I don't know if she was spoken to about this behavior, but this was not professional in any way! As for this appointment, I came in with minimum concerns because I know nothing will be addressed. I have considered changing doctors, but, I stay with him because my wife can get my point across better than I can.

Dr Dibble is a caring man who listens to you and gives informed information. He allows you to make your own decisions about your treatment. I have been going to him for 32 years and trust his judgements and medical knowledge.

Again, I am very thankful for having one of the best pcps in the field along with his surrounding nursing staff. Not only are they very professional, but they are very kind and knowledgeable in everything they do.And for that, I am very grateful and lucky.

Even though I have seen Dr. Dibble for several years, I sometimes feel like he doesn’t really know me. I think he probably has so many patients it is hard to have a close doctor patient relationship.

Dr. Dibble has been treating myself and my husband for several years, now that we are able to contact him directly instead of having to go through the portal or the answer center, it has made things much more respectful and easier to understand and gage our care.
