While going to the doctor can be stressful, I am fortunate to have the Baptist Heart Specialist - Nassau with Dr. Michael [last name] and Desiree Howley, PA and the entire healthcare team. From the moment of arrival and being greeted with professionalism and a smile to being called back by Wendy to get vital signs, I am treated cordially with respect and dignity. The team listens to my concerns, clearly communicates a medial plan for me and follows up to assure I have continuity of care at every level. I feel as if I am part of the team towards improving my health. I never feel rushed and before I leave, they assure me with another smile and ask me if there is anything else they can do for me before leaving. To the point, I always feel as if I am the only patient they have at the moment and that gives me reassurance that my health is not only in their trusting hands, but that they honor that sacred trust that aligns with the Hippocratic oath of "First, do no harm." Short waits! Very knowledgeable people that work there and the Doctor, PA’s and nurses are all very nice and listens to your problems and complaints!!! Also includes you in decision making!

I felt that I finally found a heart specialist that took the time to give me a complete explanation of how my cardiovascular system is doing. She explained things in very easy to understand language. I had some concerns about medication that was previously prescribed by another doctor. She gave me my options and I never felt pressured. I look forward to working with this team!
