Reception was very helpful and courteous as well as the nursing staff. My NP took her time explained everything in great detail and answered all questions thoroughly! Her bedside manor was warm caring and calming to me.

It was a great, to have a Dr. To tell me what was happening with my back and tell me all the different ways to correct/ fix the problem with my back. V.A. and the other places only just took pictures and just told me what they saw on pictures and that was it. Prescribed me some pain pills hoping it would get better and that was it.

I was disappointed in my appt. I had called twice to make sure all CT and MRI scans, along with surgery reports, had arrived. I was assured they had arrived, and told I would have been notified if they hadn’t. My appt. was with PA Daryl (can’t remember her last name). I was quite surprised when she asked me if I knew why they had done a certain procedure on 4 vertebrae of the upper spine- I think 3-6? I said no, and asked if she had read the surgery reports, to which she replied she didn’t think they came in. I assured her they had as i checked on them twice. She said we should move on since she was not aware of them! She pointed out that 3 of the 4 insertions ?(can’t remember what she called them) into the vertebrae (to promote fusion I assume) were not done correctly. It would be difficult & painful to realign, or replace, them as it would require cutting through muscle to do so.She said another surgery could be done, but she felt it would be a longer & painful recovery. In the end she thought i would still be in pain for the rest of my life. At this point there was a discussion about a spinal implant to block pain signals to the brain. I asked if she thought this was the best alternative & she said yes, but I would have to wait out the year to see what had fused on my spine.

UAB Neurosurgery in Inverness has a great staff. The wait time was very short. The team is very knowledgeable. They helped me to understand what was going on with my neck and shoulder. Tell them thank you for everything and I will see them again when all the testing is completed

I was extremely happy with my experience last Friday. The only problem I experienced was actually getting an appointment. My GP referred me the end of October and I wasn't able to get in until the end of January.

The lighting was soft and the environment clean and peaceful, the elevators were soft & it helped put me at ease, my provider was kind & informative, she made motions to listen and do, I felt validated in my health pursuit & I am very grateful. The clinic for blood work & X-rays was efficient and moved very smoothly, the lab nurse that did was blood work was kind and sweet, the xray nurse that did my scans was understanding and helpful
