I was greeted by an extremely cordial and friendly receptionist who checked me in within arriving for my appointment. My wait was minimal, and visual eye examinations were completed in a very timely way. The organization of this current system is very much improved , and all of the staff is so courteous and knowledgeable. I appreciate Dr. Joiner’s treatment for my eyes as he is very thorough in his examinations. I definitely recommend him.

Dr Joiner and his staff are all very professional and keep things in order and moving. They administer various test and keep the patient systematically moving in and out of test and exam rooms while waiting to see the Dr. Joiner. Time passes very quickly and you are in and out before you realize it.

Difficulty in scheduling with Opthamologist as they aren’t here very often. Honestly, am considering moving to another practice.

The facility is close to my home - no driving to downtown Birmingham. Dr. Joiner is one of the best eye physicians around. I highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of an eye specialist.

First off, I never saw a doctor. I waited for an hour and a half, and finally had to leave. I was referred to a glaucoma doctor from the 24-hour Callahan emergency room. But the Callahan hospital apparently cannot access those records even though they are in the same building, and are also called Callahan. I spent 20 minutes filling out the required information before I came, but then had to meet with a nurse and an assistant so they could go over the same information again, for another 20 minutes. I was referred because they thought a glaucoma doctor might have better equipment to identify a problem I was having. After watching the doctor go through a long line of glaucoma patients, I assumed that having to stop and conduct diagnostic tests would probably not be productive. I decided to go to my ophthalmologist instead. In the future, be sure a patient actually saw a doctor before sending repeated requests for information, and perhaps one day, you can use the same brand of medical records used by the emergency room.
