Everything went well. I just had a long wait time before they called me to the back. Other than that, everything went well

I waited 75 minutes after my appointment time to be called in. The intake was done by someone that worked in a different department. It was almost 2 hours after my appointment time until I saw the Dr. he was brusque and rushed. I understand things happen and people have bad days, but this experience created a bad day for me. This was my first appointment and I do not have a good first impression.

Everything about this process has been ‘assembly line’ oriented. The nice young technician who took me back to examine my eyes had my file in his hand, but asked breezily “So what brings you in today?” Really??? Apparently he saw no benefit to glancing at my chart before speaking. The surgeon gave me no indication of expected time frame for complete recovery, no comparison with recovery time for similar-age patients, etc. Never have I been through two surgeries and received so little information about my particular case and projected recovery period. Full and helpful information to the patient is just not part of this group’s method. Each visit has ended in disappointment, because there is no meaningful information on my particular case, no comparison with normal expectations, no serious acknowledgment of what I am experiencing each day.

Long wait but I'm retired so no problem. Dr. Joiner did my cataract surgery and I believe he is knowledgeable and very competent. I am changing to the Pelham office to decrease my drive. I am old.

I have never been to a doctor office with more kind and caring staff. Dr Joiner had an emergency and his staff ensured we were rescheduled immediately. They were genuinely concerned for our well being and for the doctor.

The waiting to be seenn is a long process. The tech and doctor have great manners and you are treated with kindness. Front desk staff was great.

The staff always makes sure I can visit the Pelham office because I can drive myself there. The young women who check me in and out are delightful; they are always smiling and upbeat. I love them.

As my previous appointment, all staff and doctors were very good. Had 9:20 appointment. Was called back for initial eye exam around 9:40. Released to back to waiting area. Called back for optic nerve testing around 10:05. Sent back to waiting area. Saw doctor around 10:50. Left facility at 11:05. Staff member at check out for setting my next appointment appeared to have difficulty reading a calendar and setting up my next appointment.
When I arrived for my appointment, there were approximately 15 people in the waiting area. Most I talked to were seeing Doctor Joiner. At approximately 9:40, a sign was put on the check in area shelf indicating that Doctor Joiner was running behind and that if you wanted to reschedule your appointment, to see staff at front desk. Don’t understand how they could get that far behind by 9:40. There appeared to be plenty of staff to handle the patients. This is not the first time I’ve experienced this. This is truly an example of poor managing of the facility and overbooking the doctor.
If this experience continues, I will be looking for another facility for my care.

The wait time was only about 15 min. I was in and out in about 1 hr. Everything went very smoothly and all technicians and Dr were thoughtful , friendly and professional. Great appointment.
