The courteousness of the Whitaker Clinic staff was immediately felt through the welcoming and polite parking personnel and the check in attendant at the early hour of 7:00 am. Dr. Bergman and his staff were very professional and I felt genuinely cared for throughout the entire process. Dr. Bergman explained the process and the different scenarios to expect depending on the results of the surgery. He was straight forward and reassuring.

My experience was wonderful from start to finish! My only suggestion is that everyone remember to introduce him/herself right off the bat. I always like to know the person's name who is working with me in a health setting. Thank you to Daisha, Ashley, Dr. Bergman, the resident, the intern, and Darla.

Dr. Bergman and staff alway make me feel comfortable and explain what procedure they will be doing. What I can expect and make sure they answer any questions I may have. They take time with me and I am never rushed out of my appointment. Highly recommend Dr. Bergman and staff.

There was some issues closing my wound and several days after my surgery I started developing a large very red knot at one end of my incision. I called and left a message for Dr. Bergman to contact me. I called at 8:23am Monday the 20th of May. I called again at 12:30pm the same day. I finally got a call back from I guess a nurse around 5:00pm. Instead of seeing me in the office to check the wound she told me to set up the patient portal and send in pictures. I did this as she requested and as of now, Tuesday’s 21st of May at 6:30pm I still have not heard from a doctor or anyone else from UAB or the clinic. I hope this is not infection and I hope it doesn’t cause a lot more medical issues. The treatment and response has been subpar at best. I’ve never had a facility treat me this poorly.

Excellent staff, incredible experience. Very impressed with how knowledgeable they were about my son's somewhat rare condition. They gave us a lot of informed options of next steps and I felt comfortable that they knew the best path for him in the future

Dr Bergman and his nurse Linda were so awesome! He always takes his time and never makes me feel rushed. He seeks feedback from my prior appointment, and makes adjustments to my treatment based on that feedback. He and Linda did a great job at putting me at ease, and are generally pleasant and made me feel like I was in great hands.
